The Dollar General Literacy Foundation has awarded The New Schools at Carver Media Center in Atlanta a $3,000 youth literacy Grant.
The media center is one of 1,101 organizations to receive a grant this  year. The Dollar General Youth Literacy Grant provides funding to schools, public libraries and nonprofit organizations for the implementation or expansion of literacy programs.
“Reading is a fundamental building block to a sound education,” Dollar General Chairman and CEO Rick Dreiling said in a news release.
