M. Agnes Jones Elementary students watch President Barack Obama’s national speech to schoolchildren

We were thrilled local media were interested in visiting M. Agnes Jones Elementary while its students watched President Barack Obama’s national speech encouraging students to stay in school, study and work hard. Reporters from the AJC and TV stations dropped in on teacher Corliss Love‘s fifth-grade classroom. (Check out the AJC story here.)

M. Agnes Jones Principal Margul Woolfolk said that, considering the president’s background and success story, his message “was so perfect for this school,” according to the AJC article. “His message to any child is you can move beyond your challenges and become successful,” she told the AJC.

Also check out links to reports by WAGA (Fox5) here and WGCL (CBS46) here. More importantly, you can watch the president’s speech here!
