Business and civic leaders joined Atlanta Public Schools principals today at the Omni Hotel during a kickoff breakfast for this year’s Principal For A Day (PFAD) event, a 10-year partnership between APS and the Metro Atlanta Chamber.
Merrill Lynch co-sponsored the event with The Atlanta Partners for Education, an organization formed as a joint effort between APS and the Chamber. The organization promotes student achievement through successful business partnerships.
Through the program, long-term relationships have been established between APS schools and firms such as Coca-Cola, Target and the Atlanta Falcons, as well as civic organizations such as the 100 Black Men of Atlanta.
“Stronger schools build stronger children, and stronger children build a better community,” said John Inhouse, regional managing director of Merrill Lynch. “I don’t think there’s any better investment that we can make than in the future of our children.”
