The considerable talents of APS student harpists will be showcased this evening (May 2) at 7 p.m. at Carver School of the Arts, 55 McDonough Blvd.
The Urban Youth Harp Ensemble is composed of 45 musicians ranging in age from 10 to 18. The purpose of the concert is to demonstrate how the harp can be used to play all types of music, including modern day popular songs and arrangements.
The Urban Youth Harp Ensemble is one of the few musical groups of its kind in the world, mainly because of the classical instrument used and the variety of music the group plays in concert.
