Maynard Jackson Video Production Announced 2013 KWN Award Winners!


Maynard Jackson High School’s video production wins the 2013 Kid Witness News (KWN) New Vision and Eco Effect Award! Jackson is one of four schools across the country to receive this award, which includes an all expense paid trip to the KWN Winners Weekend in New York. The 2013 New Vision Awards ceremony will honor the top 4 New Vision Award winning schools and the winner of the Best “Eco-Effect PSA of the Year.” The ceremony will be held at the Panasonic headquarters in New Jersey on Friday, May 10, 2013. The New Vision “Best Video of the Year” award will be announced, and the winning teams will receive a trophy and banner to hang in their school.

kwnKWN is a hands-on video education program with an emphasis on team-centered learning that encourages students to develop valuable cognitive, communication and organizational skills through the use of state-of-the-art, high definition video technology. The program is structured to develop student’s self-confidence, creativity, communication skills and teamwork through the use of digital video technology. Today, 718 schools worldwide participate in KWN program. Panasonic, in conjunction with local public school systems, supports KWN teams in approximately 76 participating schools in the U.S. and 31 countries internationally.
