Jean Childs Young Middle School is excited to announce their school’s new partnership with Fifth Third Bank. Dr. Kelvin L. Griffin, the principal of Young Middle School, is committed to engaging business and community partners to provide opportunities for students and their families.
Fifth Third Bank is committed to building partnerships with communities and schools to help build knowledge about personal finance, which enable people to manage their finances with confidence as they move through the various stages of life.
Students will receive monthly financial literacy workshops covering budgeting, identity protection, credit matters, and saving for college and the future. Monthly workshops will also be provided for parents. Parents will discuss financial wellness, investment and planning, home ownership, basic estate planning, and choosing the right college savings plan for their family.
In addition to the student and parent workshops, Fifth Third Bank will also give an annual $500.00 scholarship to one student via a financial literacy essay contest.
