Weekend Recap: North Atlanta is APS’ only undefeated football team

North Atlanta Football 2017 - New North — North Atlanta moved to 2-0 this season with a 21-7 win over KIPP Atlanta Collegiate last Friday. The Warriors (2-0) are the only remaining undefeated team in APS.

So far, it is truly a “New North” this season for North Atlanta High School.

That is the motto adopted by the North Atlanta football program this year, and the Warriors are living up to it. Currently, North Atlanta (2-0) is the only undefeated team in Atlanta Public Schools, after a 21-7 win over KIPP Atlanta Collegiate last Friday.

This year’s Warrior team is attempting to be the first North Atlanta team to win more games than it loses since 2010, and the first to advance to the state playoffs since 1996. Last week, North Atlanta was selected as the FOX 5 High Five Sports Team of the Week, after a 21-7 win over Grady in the season opener.
