At a Glance: Henry W. Grady High School Class of 2019

Henry W. Grady High School will hold commencement exercises on May 23, 1:00 p.m. at Georgia Institute of Technology’s McCamish Pavilion. Principal Dr. Betsy Bockman and the entire Grady Knights family have plenty to brag about: 306 graduates, garnering more than $21 million in scholarships!

Get to know these exceptional seniors.

Despite the magnitude of her personal circumstances, Grady High School senior Imahni Lawton, 18, has persisted and continues to rise above her challenges. On May 23, she will graduate from Grady with a 3.65 GPA, and plans to attend Kennesaw State University, where she will major in political science with a concentration in pre-law. Her goal is to become an attorney or victim advocate. Read more.

Seventeen-year-old Sienna Joseph believes in the power of education. The Grady High School senior and St. Lucia native migrated to the United States as a young child and faced some tremendous obstacles. On May 23, Sienna will proudly graduate in the top 17 percent of her class with a 4.0 GPA. With her sights set on becoming an attorney and law professor, Sienna is headed to the University of Georgia this fall. Read more.

When Grady High School senior Kevin Ochoa, 17, walks across the stage on May 23, he will be accomplishing a major milestone. He will become the first generation to graduate high school and the first person in his family to attend college. Read more.
