I am excited to share that we received confirmation from the Fulton County Board of Health this afternoon of the dates and location of our APS COVID-19 Vaccination events for all staff and contractors.
Our vaccination events will be held over three days: The first dose will be administered on Wednesday, March 24, Friday, March 26, and Saturday, March 27 at the Mercedes Benz Stadium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The second dose will be administered on Wednesday, April 14, Friday, April 16, and Saturday, April 17 at Mercedes Benz. Please mark your calendars!
According to Fulton County Health officials, we have secured enough allocations of the two-dose Pfizer vaccine for up to 8,000 APS staff and contractors. We will be following up with staff early next week who opted in to receive communication about a vaccine appointment in our prior survey.
The health and safety of everyone in the Atlanta Public Schools community continue to be my top priority. I encourage everyone to get vaccinated and for our employees and students to continue their COVID-19 surveillance testing each week.
