Atlanta Public Schools (APS) remains focused on ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff in our schools and buildings. And as we launch the 2021-2022 school year, APS continues to encourage its students and staff to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
To help with this effort, Atlanta Public Schools will offer on-site COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible students and staff in middle schools and high schools beginning Monday, Aug. 9. Students and staff will receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which has been approved by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for patients ages 12-15.
The first dose will be administered the week of Aug. 9, and the second dose will be given the week of Aug. 30. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., depending on the time based on each school’s selection.
Parents must provide a signed consent form for vaccination.
The event is sponsored by APS Health Services in partnership with the Fulton County Board of Health and Georgia CORE.
