The Atlanta Public Schools Office of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) is excited to announce its 2nd Annual Golf Tournament, “Education on the Green, Driving for Students’ Dreams,” scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Sugar Creek Golf & Tennis Center, in Atlanta GA. Atlanta City Council President Ceasar C. Mitchell is the event’s official ambassador.
The goal of the tournament is to increase community awareness and support for Atlanta Public Schools CTAE Programs. Funds raised from this event will be used to award college scholarships and directly support student participation in state and national CTAE technical-skills competitions. By participating in this golf tournament, players help sponsor the dreams of college and careers for deserving CTAE students with limited financial resources.
The Office of CTAE is currently recruiting golfers and accepting sponsorships for this worthwhile event. Interested parties may sponsor at various levels including sponsoring teams of student golfers from APS high schools. In addition to the tournament, there will be a golf clinic and putting contest for beginners, silent auction, reception and an awards ceremony at the end of play. There will also be a card tournament and tennis courts available for non-golfers.
