Robert Little, author and motivational speaker, visited students at Cleveland Avenue Elementary and spoke during two assembly programs. During his popular assembly program, Dream Power, which is based on his book, he motivated students to look beyond their circumstances and pursue their dreams. Little also addressed topics such as character, friendship, and bullying with the students.
Little discussed the characters in the four children’s books that he wrote, including What Can I Be?, and signed personal copies for the students. When asked about her reflections after the program, fifth-grader Carolyn Stephens shared her reflections after the program. “[It was] helpful for the students at the school because it encouraged us to believe in our dreams,” she said.
