On Friday, February 21, 2014, Atlanta Public Schools’ Career, Technical and Agricultural Education Department welcomed 21 employers and 348 students to its 1st annual Youth Job Fair at Atlanta Metropolitan College Student Center. Students attending the job fair ranged from ages 16-21 and are enrolled in schools across Atlanta Public Schools.
This job fair allowed students to discuss potential career opportunities with employers and present their resume for a full-time, part-time or internship position. It also provided employers the opportunity to invest in our students and community.
“The job fair was a huge success and the students truly enjoyed meeting and discussing possible employment with the diverse group of employers,” said Mary Shepherd, education specialiast at APS. “With our continuing efforts, we can make a positive difference in the lives of our young leaders of tomorrow.”
