Chick-fil-A Treats Washington High School Teachers

by talkupaps

On Wednesday, May 9th, Atlanta based Chick-fil-A provided lunch for the faculty and staff of Booker T. Washington High School as part of a campus tour through the city. The gesture was in support of National Teacher Appreciation Week.

Dan Kathy, son of APS alumni and Chick-fil-A founder Truett Kathy, toured the Washington High School campus and spoke with teachers during a roundtable discussion.

The highlight of the tour showcased the generous history of the Washington campus. Chick-fil-A employees got to see actual classroom fixtures from the original building which included a desk and blackboard.  Notable alumni of Washington High include civil rights pioneer Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., singer and actress Lena Horne and famed comedian Nipsey Russell.
